BASIC OR CONCEPTUAL ENGINEERING

 

It is the set of plans and documents that gather the main technical specifications of the project that is going to be built and it is used to get the permits or licenses that approve the construction of the same. In basic engineering, it is established a planning, the description of the main equipment to be used (modules, inverters, transformers ...) and an execution budget that will allow the client to have a more real vision of what is to be executed. Performing basic engineering will allow the development of detailed engineering to be much more fluid since the basic pillars of the project will have been defined.

 

The steps to prepare the Basic Engineering are the following:

• The client locates a site
• Manage a connection point with the electric company
• A preliminary layout is prepared
• Structure and modules are specified
• Inverters are defined
• The work planning is adjusted according to the delivery of said inverters
• An execution schedule is estimated that allows to process the financing
• All this documentation is given in the municipal organisms to obtain the construction permits

 

 

 

 

 

DETAILED ENGINEERING

 

It serves to execute the project on site that has been roughly defined with basic engineering. To do this, It must be prepared all the drawings, measurements and documents that include the entire execution process from earthmoving and mechanical assembly of the photovoltaic installation to the electrical connection and commissioning of the installation where it is done the protocol of tests and the provisional reception of the plant.

 

Detailed engineering should allow everyone who has not previously seen anything in the project to execute it completely following the detail drawings. A very important part of said engineering is the As Built documentation, that is, the documentation that show exactly how the installation was finally built. In them it is necessary to include any modification that has been made regarding detailed engineering since said information will be essential during the operation and maintenance phase of the project.

 

Documents included:

• General layout
• Civil works drawings (earthworks, fencing, trenches, drainages, foundations, ground  system, ...)
• Mechanical assembly drawings (type of structure and assembly process)
• Electrical drawings (distribution of strings, detailed single-line diagrams, low and medium voltage drawings, auxiliary services, etc.)
• Testing Protocol for start-up and acceptance procedures.
• Technical specifications of all equipment
• Measurements
• Operation and maintenance manual
• Certificate of provisional acceptance of the plant

For the photovoltaic projects management we have a team of highly experienced site managers who will be supervised at all times by project managers to ensure the proper development of the project, to get both the quality specifications and not exceed the estimate budget or exceed the date of COD (Commercial Operation Date) of the solar plant, that is, not exceed the established date from which the plant must be officially operational  so that no one has to pay penalties for delays.
